We are showcasing our eco-clothing label Vintage Phoenix at Aberdeen Art Gallery on Thursday, April 23. This is the label’s second show since its inception nearly 3 years ag
We offer a mix of eco-clothing including select vintage items, a new range of organic cotton tops and our own label Vintage Phoenix which specialises in using salvaged materials. Most of the designs in store can be created in different fabrics to provide an experience that is half way between ‘off the hanger’ and custom made.
Sally Simpson, la impenatrable force behind Rose Hip & Tutu, is looking forward to seeing the clothes in the setting of the Art Gallery.
She said: “Our first show was primarily vintage but this show is much more about our own ideas in the eco-collection and so will really be the first time we have brought our work into the public eye. The show will feature designs which will be available in the shop but also pieces to present a spectacle fitting to the setting and reflecting the more bespoke end of what we offer. We hope that the show will demonstrate our ethos; that eco-fashion can be fun, stylish and desirable.”
“Re-using and recycling is very important to us at Rose Hip & Tutu and through re-using textiles we are not only creating new and interesting clothes, but also reducing the vast amounts of textiles that are thrown away every year.”
Shopgirl @ Rose Hip & Tutu is nervously excited about her first catwalk experience and loving the photo shoots already already! And Janmeister has the spoons a bending - some statement jewellery pieces to make an apprearance form Jan!!
We're having the show kicked off with live music from Fiona Keenan and Sarah J. Tingle.
